Tricomia

? Kaymaz?

Tricomia is Greek for three villages. The geographer Ptolemy also knows the name, as a place in Greater Phrygia, and the Ravenna list garbles it to Trigomidia, perhaps under the influence of its next name, Midio. Older research linked Tricomia with the Troknades, a community named in two inscriptions of the 2nd or 3rd century AD that place them at or near Kaymaz in Turkey: either the Greek name dresses up a Celtic one, or three villages of the Troknades really joined into one community. The identity has never been proven.
