Road station
Tarsa
Kuyulu
Tarsa, at Kuyulu, was the last halt before Samosata, which lay nineteen Roman miles, about twenty-eight kilometres, further on; the Roman register of routes spells it Tharse. That register sends a branch road off here towards Germanicia, now Maraş, the birthplace of Nestorius, but its figures fall more than forty miles short, so two stations seem to have dropped out along the way.
