Road station

Perre

Listen to the story

Perre survives as the ruins of Pirun, and it had a bishop of its own: one from the town is named at the Council of Chalcedon. The station is also listed in the Roman register of routes, the Ravenna list garbles it into There, and the geographer Ptolemy may know it as Seraspere. On the map it is a plain name without a drawing, and the figure two stands on both sides of it, towards Pordonnium and towards Carbanum.
