Tartursanis was a station on the high road over the Tauern pass at Hohentauern in Styria, probably between Möderbrugg and Hohentauern, where the road climbs from the Palten valley towards the Pöls. The map sets it ten Roman miles from Surontium and nine from Viscellae, and to save space the copyist wrote that nine in the shorter of the two ways the Romans used.
