Tarnantone, at Neumarkt on the northern end of the Wallersee near Salzburg, appears on the map in the locative form that road books often used, so the place itself may have been called Tarnanto. It lies thirteen Roman miles from Iuvavum, now Salzburg, and fourteen from Laciacis, although the start of that second stretch is not marked.
