Tarnasici was a station probably at Flattnitz in Carinthia, on the road from the Mur valley towards Virunum; older research also suggested Gnesau on the Gurk, or Murau. On the map the copyist seems to hesitate here: the stretch on to Beliandrum is drawn as two, the line breaking off and starting afresh to rise towards its distance figure, perhaps to avoid a small hole in the parchment. The map sets Tarnasici fourteen Roman miles, about twenty-one kilometres, from Graviacis.
