Geminico vico
wahrscheinlich Gembloux (Miller) · Liberchies (Barrington)
Geminico vico is Geminiacum, a village on the road from Bavay to Tongeren in Belgium, probably at Liberchies, though Gembloux has long been proposed. Its name seems to come from the estate of a landowner called Geminius, and a late Roman army unit, the Geminiacenses, may have been named after the place. On the map the next distance reads forty-three, far too many: a copyist probably misread a thirteen or fourteen in Gallic leagues, which the Roman register of routes gives as twenty-two Roman miles, about thirty-three kilometres.
