Vogo Dorgiaco

Waudrez

Vogo Dorgiaco is the map's garbled way of writing Vodgoriacum, split into two words with the letters jumbled; the Roman register of routes has it right. The station lay at Waudrez near Binche in the Belgian province of Hainaut, on the road from Bavay to Tongeren, and the modern name still carries an echo of the old one. Beyond Waudrez the Roman road survives as the Chaussée Brunehaut, running on towards Gembloux. On the map the stretch that follows has no marked start.
