Vorgium
Carhaix-Plouguer
Vorgium is Carhaix, the chief town of the Osismii in Brittany, founded apparently only under Augustus. A milestone from nearby Maël-Carhaix counts six leagues from Vorgium, which fits the town. The Greek geographer Ptolemy names the capital Vorganium, but a second milestone suggests that Vorganium may have been a different place further north. Carhaix was a great road junction, with a regular street grid, an aqueduct and a temple. In late antiquity it lost its rank to Gesocribate, today Brest. On the map the stretch towards Sulim is drawn as two.
