Vtricio is Vitricium, a road station at Verrès in the Aosta valley in Italy, on the road from Aosta down to Ivrea and the plain. The map sets it twenty-eight Roman miles from Augusta Praetoria, today Aosta, and eleven from Eporedia, today Ivrea. The Roman register of routes names it three times, on its routes over the Alps, and the list of places compiled in Ravenna writes it Bitricium, with the late Latin b for v. The map's spelling has lost a letter.
