Road station
Viscellis
Unterzeiring oder Möderbrugg
Listen to the story
Viscellis was a station on the Tauern road through Styria, in the valley of the Pöls, whose ancient name may have been Viscella. It is placed at Unterzeiring or Möderbrugg, while older research suggested Oberzeiring or St. Oswald. The map sets Viscellis nine Roman miles from Tartursanis, but the figure for the next stretch, on to Ad Pontem, is missing.
