Gephyra lay at Jisr al-Hadid, twenty-two Roman miles from Antioch, and the map counts the same twenty-two miles again on to Gendarum. Oddly, it draws two separate roads leaving Antioch, one to Gephyra and one to Emma, although the two places are in fact successive stops on a single route.
