Ad Orontem

Suêdie (Miller) · at or near Samandağ (town) (Barrington)

Ad Orontem means at the Orontes, and the station stood by that river at or near Samandağ in Turkey, close to the sea. The Ravenna list turns it into a city of the East, civitas Orientis, and Isidore of Seville indeed says the Romans called the river Orientes. The map puts it twelve Roman miles from Seleucia, but its fifteen from Laodicea are far too few; about twenty more seem to be missing.
