Ad Palmam

(11 miles W Lebda) (Barrington)

Ad Palmam, at the palm tree, was the last stop before Leptis Magna: the map counts twelve Roman miles to the colony and fourteen back to Quintiliana, and draws nothing but the name. The Ravenna list knows it as a town called Palma by the sea. Its site lies about eleven miles west of Lebda, the ruins of Leptis, and older research placed it near Buseife.
