Subututtu

Gasr ed-Daun

Subututtu was a stop twenty-five Roman miles short of Leptis Magna, with Cercar fifteen miles back along the road. The map gives it only its name, no picture. The site is identified as Gasr ed-Daun in Libya; older research looked for it at Ras al Hamrah, where ruins lie by the sea. It was in use in Roman and late antique times.
