Sucidava
Dunăreni?
Sucidava was a cavalry post on the Danube in the Dobruja, perhaps near today's Dunăreni in Romania. An inscription found at Silistra praises the emperor Aurelian, conqueror of Zenobia, for wiping out the barbarian peoples between Carsium and Sucidava. A milestone of Diocletian found at Rasova counts fourteen miles, probably from Axiopolis. The map gives twelve miles from Sagadava and seventeen on to Axiopolis, where the Roman register of routes has twelve.
