Surontio was a station at Trieben in the Palten valley of Styria, on the Alpine road from the Danube to Virunum in Carinthia. On the map the stretch on to Tartursanis has no starting mark and seems squeezed in, as if it had been added later to remedy an oversight. The map sets Surontium fifteen Roman miles from Stiriate and ten from Tartursanis.
