Surpicano, a station on the Via Salaria in the high Apennines, perhaps at Accumoli, is known only from this map. What stands out is a slip of the pen: from here a road line runs off to Firmum on the coast, but the copyist probably just carried the line on across the parchment when it should only have turned down towards the next stop. Near Arquata del Tronto, the ninety-ninth milestone from Rome has been found.
