Road station

Getullu

(S of mouth of Wadi Ram`l) (Barrington)

Listen to the story

Getullu was a road station fifteen Roman miles from Turris ad Algam and twenty-four from Quintiliana. The Ravenna list writes Getula, and a later medieval list of places, which calls it Getua, sets it by the sea. It is now sought south of the mouth of the Wadi Raml, while older research thought of El Argub or Al Kittab.
