Gerulatis lay on the Miroč plateau above the Iron Gates in Serbia, on the Danube road through Upper Moesia. It shares its name with the Gerulata near Bratislava far up the river; a Roman register of routes lists it as Gerulata, and the list of places compiled in Ravenna garbles it as Gerbiatis. The map sets Gerulatis eight Roman miles from Taliata and six from Una, and draws the stretch to Una as two.
