Germizera
Cigmău
Germizera is Germisara, a Dacian place that became a Roman fort and civil settlement at Cigmău in the Mureș valley of Romania, on the road from Sarmizegetusa to Apulum. Its fame came from the hot springs of nearby Geoagiu-Băi, frequented by the well-to-do of Sarmizegetusa and Apulum and by soldiers; two provincial governors are among the recorded guests, and an inscription speaks of the walls of Germisara. Galatians from Asia Minor lived here in such numbers that they had their own association. The map's nine miles on to Blandiana seemed too few to older research.
