Geminas

Forest-Saint-Julien

Geminas, the twins, is the first of two stations of this name that the map sets one after the other on the road from Luc-en-Diois towards Gap and Briançon, and the repetition may be an error. It seems to correspond roughly to the Mons Seleucus of the other itineraries, though by a shorter route. Where it lay is uncertain: Forest-Saint-Julien is the current suggestion, while older research proposed Mens, Saint-Pierre-d'Argençon or La Cluse. One older view explained the name by two streams meeting in the valley of the Buëch.
