Gardellaca
Tokod
Listen to the story
Gardellaca was a road station and fort in Pannonia, today placed at Tokod in Hungary. The list of places compiled in Ravenna spells it Cardelaca, and a late Roman list of garrisons names its troops, under the form Cardabiaca, as auxilia insidiatorum, the ambushers. Older research looked for it at Alsó-Galla or by the Danube east of Brigetio. The map sets Gardellaca thirteen Roman miles from Lepavist and thirteen from Lusomana.
