Road station

Geminas

bei Eisenbahnstation Montmaur

Gerainas, or Geminas: even the reading of this name is disputed. The copyist may first have written an m and then turned it into r and a, which would explain the odd shape of the r, and the photographs of 1888 show the r and a more clearly than the parchment itself. The station lay halfway between the other Geminas and Gap, near the railway station of Montmaur. Its figure, fourteen miles or about twenty-one kilometres, correctly points to Gap, yet the line drawn from it runs to Briançon, and the photographs show clear corrections in the linework.
