Road station
Ad Oleastrum
Henchir-Ferchatt-Zabouza (Barrington)
Ad Oleastrum, at the wild olive tree, was a road station in Africa Proconsularis, probably at Henchir Ferchatt Zabouza in Tunisia, a site in use in Roman and late antique times. The map counts twenty-seven Roman miles from Macomades Minores and eighteen on to Praesidio Silvani. The Roman register of routes knows it too, twenty-six miles from Cellas Vicus, with a branch road from here towards Tabalta and Sufetula. Some older editions of the map garbled the name into Oleandrum.
