Acitoriziaco

? bei Elecik oder Kalecik ?

Acitoriziaco is a garbled Celtic name, probably Acitorigiacum, the plain of the king. It was a station on the road from Ancyra east to Tavium. Two places compete for it: Kalecik, where milestones of Trajan and Hadrian have been found, and Elecik, on a small rolling plateau north-east of Ancyra, which fits the map's distance and the meaning of the name better; Kalecik, the little fortress, sits on a hill. The Ravenna list may garble it as Sitorei.
