Acidaua

Enoşeşti

Acidava lay at Enoșești in Romania, on the lower Olt near the mouth of the Olteț, on the road that ran up the Olt valley from Romula towards Apulum. Its ending, dava, is the Dacian word for a settlement, found in many place names north of the Danube, and the map uses the name Acidava twice. Older research placed the station at Piatra, where there are ruins. The map sets Acidava thirteen Roman miles from Romula and twenty-four from Rusidava.
