Tubactis Municipium
Gasr Ahmed, Misurata Marina? (Barrington)
Tubactis bears the abbreviated title of a municipium, a town with its own council under Roman law, and probably lay at Gasr Ahmed near Misurata in Libya. Here the two roads from Nivirgi Taberna meet again: twenty-two Roman miles come in from Simnana and ten from Virga, and twenty-five more lead on to Casa Rimoniana. The Ravenna list writes Thubactis, and the town belongs to Roman and probably late antique times.
