Simnana

Zaviet el-Mahgiub?

Simnana lies on one of the two roads from Nivirgi Taberna to Tubactis, fifteen Roman miles from the first and twenty-two from the second. Its site may be Zaviet el-Mahgiub in Libya, but older research could only place it somewhere near the Gebel Rurian. The Ravenna list calls it Scemadana or Simadana and puts it by the sea, and some older copies of the map read Sunnana.
