Road station
Sinispora
Sinispora is known only from this map, a station on the road from Mazaca Caesarea to Comana in Cappadocia. Curiously, the Ravenna list, which otherwise names the same stops along this road, leaves it out. One suggestion links it with Sinis Colonia, which the geographer Ptolemy places on the bank of the Euphrates near Melitene, and with Koloneia, a town that, according to Procopius, was founded by Pompey and given that name. Where the station really lay remains open.
