Teglata

Henchir-er-Rarga (Barrington) · El Matrif (Miller)

Teglata, Theblata in the Ravenna list, stands as a simple name on the road, seven Roman miles from Vico Augusti and thirteen short of Elefantaria. The site was probably at Henchir er Rarga, and a Latin inscription is known from it. It belongs to the Roman and late antique centuries, a halt on the highway that linked Carthage with Hippo Regius.
