Choreva

Henchir-ed-Dermoulia

Listen to the story

Choreva, called Coreva in a Roman register of routes, lay at Henchir Dermoulia in Tunisia, a station on the great road from Carthage to Cirta. Here the route forked: the map sets it eight Roman miles from Aquae, and ten each from Ad Atticillae and from Risca. The name and distance for one branch are oddly squeezed in, although there was room to spare, and its start is marked only by the fork in the line.
