Road station

Certis

Štrbinci near Ðakovo

Certis, the Roman Certissa, was a station on the road from Marsonia to Cibalae in Lower Pannonia, at Štrbinci near Đakovo in Croatia, where Roman finds have been made. The Greek geographer Ptolemy lists it as Kertissa, and a Roman register of routes as Cirtisa, from where it sends a branch road towards Siscia. The map sets Certis twenty-five Roman miles, about thirty-seven kilometres, from Marsonia and twenty-four from Cibalae.
