This unnamed mark is no more than a single letter o, written in the water off the shore to the right of Fons. Old photographs of the map show it plainly, yet the early printed copies read no letter here at all. The lone o sits oddly in the sea and does not look like part of a word, so it is uncertain whether anything was ever meant to stand here.
