Road station
Obilonna
Conflans (Miller) · La Bâthie (Barrington)
Obilonna was a halt on the main road from Vienne to the Little Saint Bernard, most likely at La Bâthie near the Isère, not far from Albertville. Map and Roman register of routes agree on its distances on both sides, which is what fixes the spot, though one older view preferred Conflans. The name comes down in many forms, Obilunnum, Bilumnum and Obelonon among them. The station lay just short of the border of the Ceutrones, the Alpine people of the Tarentaise, still in the land of the Allobroges.
