Nura

Pula

Nura is Nora, near Pula in Sardinia, which Pausanias called the oldest town on the island. Remains of a theatre and of an aqueduct survive, and the list of places compiled in Ravenna calls it a garrison near Caralis. Milestones found at Pula count two and six Roman miles from Nora, and one at Orri eleven, markers on the roads that led out from the town. On the map the name stands alone, without a road.
