Nisibi

Nusaybin

Nisibi stands here as a bare name on the road, without a picture, although the same city, Nisibis, is already drawn once elsewhere on the map with a symbol of its own. It is today's Nusaybin in Turkey. On this road the map counts sixteen Roman miles from Thamaudi and ten on to Sarbane. The Ravenna list puts the stations that follow, as far as Ctesiphon, in the land of the Persians and Assyrians, all except Sapha and Ad Tigrim.
