Road station

Nitazo

Kabakülak

Nitazo is split in two on the map: the copyist wrote Nita and zo on either side of the red capital A of the word Galatia, and so the station's mileage figure was pushed along until it stands above the next name, Aspasi. The Roman register of routes calls the place Nitazi, on the road from Ancyra to Colonia Archelais, and the Bordeaux pilgrim lists it as the mansio Nitalis, a staging post with lodging, beyond the border of Galatia and Cappadocia. It is placed at Kabakülak. The stations along this stretch of the map are badly muddled.
