Saralio

Saralio sits on the map right beneath the C of the large red word Cappadocia, although the geographer Ptolemy, who calls it Saralos, counts it among the towns of the Trocmi, a Galatian tribe. Where it lay depends on how far west the road from Tavium to Caesarea really looped, and the neighbouring stations are no better fixed. Suggestions range from Köprü on the Halys, near the Hittite mound of Büklükale, to the Hittite settlement of Has Hüyük, or to Yerköy, where thermal springs still rise.
