Road station
Euagina
Evagina, on the road from Tavium by way of Zama towards Caesarea in Cappadocia, has been taken for the same place as Aegonne and Eugoni, entered a third time. Yet this road is probably genuine, since its stations also appear in Ptolemy, so the station is most likely a real stop. Ptolemy seems to list it as Phubagina among the towns of the Trocmi, a Galatian tribe. The Ravenna list turns it into Puconia, apparently by way of a Greek-sounding Eugonia, and runs through a similar chain of stations in reverse order. Its site is uncertain, perhaps near Yerköy or Yozgat.
