Sanderva

Štedim bei Nikšić

Sanderva is the map's garbled spelling of Anderba, a Roman fort on the inland road from Narona to Scodra, at Štedim near Nikšić in Montenegro, where extensive Roman remains survive. A Roman register of routes writes Andarva, the list of places compiled in Ravenna Anderba, and an inscription names its people, the Adarvani. The original form may have been Andarua, with a typical Illyrian ending. On the map it stands between the two places called Sallunto.
