Road station

Sallunto

near Danilovgrad

Sallunto here is the real one: an earlier station on the same road bears the name by mistake. Salluntum lay on the inland road from Narona to Scodra, near Danilovgrad in Montenegro, where ruins have been found by the river Zeta; a Roman register of routes and the list of places compiled in Ravenna name it too. The map sets Sallunto eleven Roman miles from Varis and eighteen from Halata, where the register counts seventeen.
