Road station
Comitanasso
Ortakuyu
Comitanasso, at Ortakuyu, is known from no other text, and the settlement was probably abandoned in early Byzantine times. On the map it sits in a cramped corner: having misjudged the length of the road, the mapmaker wrote the next station, Ubinnaca, below this name instead of to its right, and the road line for the stretch between them is not drawn at all. The map gives twenty Roman miles, about thirty kilometres, from Petra, and twelve on to Ubinnaca.
