Road station
Frigdarium
? Anzarya Hanları, ehem. Frangandan ?
Frigdarium is a contracted Frigidarium, the Latin word for the cold room of a Roman bath. The station lay at about 2,400 metres, on a windy, now deserted spot below the Çakırgöl Dağ, probably at Anzarya Hanları. This was once an important crossroads, where the frontier road met the main route from İmera to Trebizond, and in Ottoman times an inn stood on each of its four corners. On the map the copyist paused after the name as if to draw the small hook that marks a station, then simply carried the road line on.
