Erite was a station on the coast road south of Odessos, today Varna, towards Mesembria. The list of places compiled in Ravenna writes Erete; it is not the same place as Abrittus further inland. Its site is uncertain, perhaps at Dolni Bliznak, while older research placed it at Petrikioi. The map gives eleven miles from Odessos and sixteen on to the Temple of Jupiter, though the start of that stretch is not marked.
