Equezeto

Ouled Agla (Barrington) · Lecurbe, n.a. Mansura (Miller)

Equezeto stood at a road junction south-west of Sitifis in Mauretania, at Ouled Agla; older copies of the map read the name as Equeheto. A milestone found on the spot calls the town a municipium around AD 300, and an inscription found at Auzia even calls it a colony. Its bishops are named in 411 and 484. On the stretch from Galaxia no distance is written, and about twenty-five miles seem to be missing.
