Ergitium was a station on the road across the Apulian plain towards Sipontum, at the foot of the Gargano near Rignano Garganico, somewhere between San Severo and San Marco in Lamis. No ruins have been identified there. Apart from this map, only the list of places compiled in Ravenna knows the name, and one of its two entries miswrites it as Egritio.
