praesidium

Bordj Rhedir (Barrington) · Kherbet Zembia (Miller)

Listen to the story

Lemelli presidium, the garrison post of Lemelli, has left inscriptions on the spot that name its citizens and call the town both a colony and a municipium; bishops are named in 362 and 484. The Ravenna list writes Lecmelli. The site lies at Bordj Rhedir in Algeria. On the map the road reaches it after a long stretch of a hundred Roman miles from an unnamed stop, and runs on only six more to Tamannuna.

Fully based on scientific information from TP-Online (KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt).
