Road station
Praesidium Pompei
Nerića Han, Rutovac?
Praesidium Pompei, the post of Pompeius, was a station with lodgings on the military road from the Danube to Constantinople, in the Morava valley of Serbia, perhaps at Rutevac near Aleksinac, where three Roman tombstones have been found. A Roman register of routes and the pilgrim from Bordeaux call it simply Pompeis. The map sets it fifteen Roman miles, about twenty-two kilometres, from Praesidium Dasmini and twelve from Gramrianae.
