Cubin

j. Kurba (Miller)

Cubin is perhaps Curubis, the coastal town of Korba on the Cape Bon peninsula in Tunisia, though if so, the map is badly confused at this point. Curubis was fortified around 46 BC by two commanders of Pompey's side, Attius Varus and Considius Longus, as an inscription records, and Caesar made it a colony. In 257 the bishop Cyprian of Carthage was sent here into exile. Otherwise the station may have been the turn-off for Horrea, at Sidi bu Ali.
